Recently, the CSU launched the system-wide Directory of Special Collections, which is a comprehensive, searchable list of rare and unique book and manuscript
collections at all campuses of the CSU. Intended to enhance public knowledge and use of these special collections, the directory will support scholarly research across the CSU by uniting these collections in one place. Users can browse by campus, or by collection. Keyword searching is also available (though users should note that searching only applies to descriptions of the collections and not complete finding aids).San Diego State is participating actively in the project, keeping a updated, complete list of all our processed collections (currently numbering over 230, the largest contribution to the Directory). You can also see a full list of our processed collections in our Finding Aid Database. In addition to the CSU Directory, we hope to contribute all our finding aids to the Online Archive of California by the end of the year.
